Feel free to discuss, just be nice #unpopularopinion
as far as gender identity goes, im confused.
i thought i identified as partially female, which i found out was called demigirl, but now it seems im fine with either any pronouns or none at all.
Yeah but they went crazy. They posted a thing that said
@eva_blue sometimes if you write comments not as nice as people want they will get super defencive :"/
i agree w everything here
I never even cussed at them... Finally a normal place...
I said "there is a thing called layers" and then people told me to fuck off, go die, that I'm a bitch/dick...
@Fennix genderfluid is more about the multiple sex characteristics already in your brain rather than your brain changing day by day. But an environment (let’s say someone misgendering them) could trigger more dysphoria to the point where they feel more comfortable with certain pronouns rather than the ones they were using beforehand.
People tend to have really bad fluctuating dysphoria. Some think it’s caused my multiple sex characteristics in the brain rather than male/female brain. There’s no evidence proving gender fluidity, but if they have gender dysphoria (disconnect w/ birth sex that causes discomfort, it goes by many names) I can completely understand why someone would want to identify as gender fluid.
@I_Z_A_C a gender needs to be constant. If a gender is based on switching genders, then it's not a gender, it's a joker card. It's confusing for others, as well as being stupid. If you can't decide on which gender to choose, then gender isn't the issue at all
@I_Z_A_C its impossible for the brain to change genders and i just dont understand why people idemtify as that
Why don't you agree with gender fluid? As a non binary, that's weird.
@Sherlock_PL yayyyyy :D me too actually !
@KakuOfficiel well that's great👌🏻 I always like meeting people with different opinions, but respectful attitude :>
(I'm sorry for my confusing sentence construction-I'm terrible at it)
@Sherlock_PL oh okay ! Well ya know it's not like I will scream at the person if they identify as something I don't believe in :'3 It's more like - I don't believe in it but I won't consider you as anything other than female or male. I will keep in mind what sex you were born with and add your personnality. I also use the pronound he, she and they, cuz they exist and they aren't difficult to use. In person, it's kinda different hehe
@KakuOfficiel ohhh okay- // I'm just gonna say that a lot of LGBT people don't actually believe that there are more than two genders so :'> I myself have no problem with people identifying differently gender-wise as long as they don't shove it down my throat and are respectful about my gender identity, then I will respect them as well (since it's not my body, not my problem and if it makes them genuinely feel better about themselves then I don't have really any right to tell them what to do, especially if it's not harmful)
In my opinion, offensive/dark humour can be funny when used well and said amongst people who will like it. If someone doesn't like it, no one should force them to consider it funny. I personally sometimes don't really know when there is a "line" between dark humour and just being a dickhead, I don't like dark humour so hh
@Sherlock_PL yes exactly
@Sherlock_PL It's not a religion, it's more like a theory, as well as new genders. Since it's based on attraction for other genders, or new genders, and I don't believe there is more than 2 genders, I also don't believe in attraction for more than 2 genders
Or did you mean that you don't believe in the idea that there are more than 2 genders-
@KakuOfficiel Wait from when is LGBTQ+ a religion which you can believe or not believe in lol
About the third one, I believe you can joke about absolutely everything, including handicaps, religions and stereotypes, but you can't joke with everyone. Personnally I have limits. Some will have different limits from me. That's how people are lol
I agree with the first one. But I'm not really familiar with LGBTQ+ cuz I don't believe in it. Second one is kinda true : once you can hate on something and "be accepted", it will take too much importance and people will fight for it just motivated by personal hate and not the cause in itself (ex : feminazis that want to kill masculinity and claim women as best thing in the world lol).
@Collywobbles Yeah thats kinda like it
Did that make sense? I think I just needed myself to feel smart after that dumb ass roleplay thing
All genderfluid people are nonbinary but not all nonbinary people are genderfluid
Waitwait, it's like an all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares kind of thing
@Raven2Ruu Thanks for telling me, I might look into it more
@Raven2Ruu maybe you're just uncomfortable with the gender norms?
@_ZEN Idk man, all I know is, like right now, I feel girly and then other times I feel I feel like a boy. But that could be it
@Raven2Ruu Is it almost like, you don't know who you are, or your brain doesn't know, so it flicks between?
I guess it just confusion idk it's hard to explain how I feel
@_ZEN @Collywobbles Me, being a genderfluid myself, can try to explain it the best I can. I know others may disagree but it is kinda where we just dont understand. But then again this how I see it. Idk what causes this. I think I started becoming more genderfluid because the way I grew up and still am to this day. The rping thing is ridiculous but it is kinda how I found out I was like this. Whiling rping with my friends I've always enjoyed being the male but at times it fun to be the female and it started to confuse me.
@Collywobbles You can if study :D Seriously tho, anything you want to do u literally can uwu
Ok no longer part of this *slowly backs out of conversation*
Like rlly unlikely
@_ZEN pffffffffft, I wish I could. Not likely tho
Yeah, aha maybe one day I might study neuroscience lol
@_ZEN yeah, I agree. That's more like an "I want plastic surgery so I can be 'beautiful' or whatever" which is messed in itself but that's a whole other topic
@_ZEN yeah or maybe someones brain might not be set on anything. I can see people feeling dysphoria identifying as any gender. Im not an neurologist either.
Trans is more than self hatred as well, which people misinterpret. And say "well I hate my body so I'm trans"
Yeah, as I said before I'm far from an expert
Transgender isn't all fun and games, there's even post surgery depression, when you think it was all a mistake
Your brain is set on one gender, I think non binary is not knowing what that is, or your brain is almost a cross between. But I'm not a neurologist so idk
@Collywobbles i undrstand and i think its ridicilous (no offence). Being transgender isnt just playing dress up. If thats all genderfluid is tjen it just shouldnt excist in the first place
@_ZEN yeah, guess you're right
I dunno, personally I know I'm female, I've never questioned that so I'm far from any sort of expert
That because more of what a drag kind of thing is, @Collywobbles , if you see what I mean.
Yeah, I guess you're right. This might sound ridiculous, but maybe it's like... roleplaying as a different gender. When you roleplay u sorta become whoever your being in the rp. I know that sounds stupid, but do you sorta understand?
@Collywobbles i think its impossible for your brain to change genders. Im not sure tho so dont quote me on that
@_ZEN its probably a bad definition but from what i've read genderfluid is when someones gender identity constantly changes. One day someone feels like a girl, other day like a boy, other other day like neither or both, wich im pretty sure is impossible
The one about offensive jokes, ABSOLUTELY! Someone will crack a joke about religion or race or sexuality or something and I'll WANT to laugh but feel guilty about laughing later
As I don't feel like getting wrapped up in some sort of argument with anything else: Offensive jokes are funny in moderation as long as they don't actually offend anyone. :3
Immmm genderfluid- Welp, thats ok honestly you do you, i'll leave you be people have their opinions and thats ok
Or you just act more of the opposite gender on occasion
THANK YOU, I've been waiting for someone to say these at last. In itself, I think gender fluid is non binary *BUT* you act more feminine or masculine
Ok, on the first one I partially disagree. I think maybe genderfluid is where one day you feel Male and the next you feel female, or something.
